    Organizational structure: The NCSE is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and nonpartisan organization.
    Number and type of members: The NCSE with more than 100 universities and an established network of local governments from 33 states and the District of Columbia that fall under NCSE’s umbrella, aims to engage the university scientific community to create and implement a comprehensive science-based information about the environment. Current international partners include Inserm (Institut National de la Santé et de la Recherche Médicale), the Embassy of France in the United States, and the UN Environment. Long Island University supports the LIU-NCSE Global Science Diplomacy Fellowship program.
