Mission statement:	IAP2 is an association of members who seek to promote and improve the practice of public participation in relation to individuals, governments, institutions, and other entities that affect the public interest in nations throughout the world. IAP2, working through its members, helps organizations and communities around the world improve their decisions by involving those peope who are affected by those decisions.
Year established:	1990
Organizational structure:	IAP2 is a membership based organization with a board of directors elected by the membership. We have an annual conference in the fall of each year.
