Mission statement:	Research and Initiative for Peace and Security in the Great lakes of Africa. The attention is focused on the Youth that need Capacity Building and Employement Perspective, but also, their Rights to be respected. In Europe, the Centre participate in the Global discussion on Immigration and prepare proposals to build strong partnership between the African Diaspora in Switzerland and Europe and the Swiss and European institutions, private and public sectors. REMESHA MAGAZINE is our main Information Newsletter, available on our website at www.cirid.ch/accueil.html AFRIREC is our African Agency for Economic and Diplomatic Relations, based in Bujumbura, AFRIREC organizes each year in the Great Lakes of Africa the International Tanganyika Forum / Forum International du Tanganyika (FIT), to strengthen relations between the countries around the lake Tanganyika, its Diaspora and between the Public and Private sectors. During the Sommer event that happen the first time in August 2009, AFRIREC would like to deliver the FIT ENVIRONMENT AND BIODIVERSITY AWARD that consist in giving Grants for Youth from the Region to get the Environmental International Law Diploma from the United Nations Agency Environment Programme. PRIX JANUSZ KORCZAK BURUNDI POUR LES DROITS DE L'ENFANT / THE JANUSZ KORCZAK BURUNDI PRIZE FOR THE RIGHTS OF THE CHILDREN is the second main activity of the Centre Antenne in Bujumbura, in partnership with the State University of Burundi, the UNESCO Burundi Representative, the UNICEF Burundi Representative, the Swiss janusz Korczak Association and the International Institue for the Rights of the Child in Switzerland. GROUPE JEUNESSE & CULTURE Is the Youth Group that plans Youth event and organize each year the National Youth Forum. JOURNEES DE DIALOGUE SUISSE AFRIQUE That event happend each year in Switzerland, City of Vernier, at the Centre headquarter, to meet with local population and discuss about immigration issues.
