Mission statement:
HIV is a devastating human enemy requiring urgent attention and every effort that man can bring to bear to save the human race. It is a war, which if lost could become man’s much feared Armageddon! With attitudinal changes and the availability of retroviral drugs the First world has fought the scourge to a stand still. It is not the same with Third world countries who are floundering in deep waters, with the pandemic taking toll in hundreds of thousands by the day! Uneducated citizens of these regions hold the condom in contempt and some still do not believe that the pandemic exists! More global attention need be focused on Third World countries of Africa and Asia if the pandemic is to be globally halted. My non-governmental organization, Foundation Aid Solution for Talent Empowerment and Development (FASTED), has been working on enlightening youths and the rural populations of Nigeria on ways of self empowerment to cope with the HIV threat and other socio-cultural enemies for the past 7 years. We have experience on the attitudes and fears of the population of our sub-region to bring to the Conference, and we represent an access window to the region.
