Organizational structure: |
The Positive Life Association of Nigeria (PLAN) is a membership organization of people living with HIV/AIDS. The highest decision-making body of the organization is the General Assembly which is the annual general meeting comprising all its members.
It has a four-tier structure, viz: -
• The Board of Trustees (BoT), which is made up of eminent Nigerians from various walks of life who hold the properties of the organization in public trust. The BoT holds meetings twice yearly.
• The Executive Committee (EC) comprises of 9 persons elected from among the general membership of the organization. The Executive Director of PLAN is the Secretary of the EC as well as the BoT.
• The Management is headed by the Executive Director, supported by the Administrative Staff of the organization.
• Staff and Volunteers: These are involved in the day-to-day activities of the organization as well as the implementation of the programs of the organization. |
Number and type of members: |
PLAN has a total 78 Full Members. Full Members of PLAN are people living with HIV, TB patients as well as persons affected by TB and/or HIV.
PLAN also has 25 volunteers comprising mainly of health care workers and medical social workers who are directly involved in volunteering their services in support of PLAN's programs and activities. |
