Organizational structure: |
The organization is governed and managed by an all-volunteer, six-member Board of Directors. The Directors are also Officers, as follows: President, Vice-President, First Secretary, Second Secretary, First Treasurer, and Second Treasurer. The Board sets policy and also manages the organization, functioning collectively as an executive director and chief financial officer. There are no full-time paid employees. Decision making for implementation of programs sponsored by the organization is delegated by the Board to specific volunteers on an ad hoc basis. |
Number and type of members: |
Formal legal membership consists of 35 persons in the United States of America, however, as an outreach organization, YIDL/US includes participation from many persons who are not technically members. Actual participation in YIDL programs is in the neighborhood of 150. There are three types of memberships, Regular (voting), Supporting and Honorary Members. |
