HFDI operates three-tier governance structure, consisting of seven (7) trustees members: (HRH Oba Al Maroof Adekunle Magbagbeola Olumoyero II Olufon of Ifon kingdom; Hon. Falade, Ajibade Michael National House of Assembly Abuja, Nigeria; Hon. Bello, Adejare Speaker, House of Assembly, Osun State; Hon. (Dr) Muyiwa Olademeji Chairman LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, Osogbo; Akinlabi, Tejumade Oluwaseun (Mrs.) Osogbo; Princess Mosadomi, Hannah Olufumilayo Osogbo and Aremu, Stephen Akinyele Osogbo) and a board of directors consisting of 1 non-executive directors and 3 executive officers of high National and International repute. Both levels of the governance structure are comprised of different stakeholders in the development work, Human Resources, Young persons, community leaders, Teachers, Lawyer, Health specialists, Social marketing specialists, and a foreign development expert. The trustees provide strategic and policy guidance. It ratifies the decisions of the Board of Directors and is actively involved in resource mobilization for the organization. The Board of
Directors provide direct supervision over the management of the organization on programme direction, resource mobilization and allocation, policy formulation and advocacy in the project states/communities. The board members also bear oversight over some programme areas where they have appropriate skills. The board meets at least three times a year. In an effort to promote accountability in the governance structure, the trustees provide independent review of the Board of Directors decision-making for purposes of controlling conflicts of interest. We have a highly effective management team that reports to the Board of Directors regularly. |
