    Number and type of members: Disabled Women Support Organisation [DWSO] is a membership organisation, currently with 3,021 registered members from the 10 Provinces of Zimbabwe. The main aim of the organisation is to economically and physically empower women and girls with disabilities in Zimbabwe. The membership comprises disabled women and girls, irregardless of one’s disability. DWSO supports 29 ‘chapters’ of small business projects across the country. The chapters meet regularly, regionally and nationally, to share ideas, learning and experiences, and to develop best practice on independent living and accessing counselling and information on HIV/AIDS issues.
