    Organizational structure: WODECO is a membership organization governed by a female dominated seven –member board of Trustees and a five-member Board of Directors. The Executive Director who is also a Board member runs the daily affair of the organization with the Executive and staff members. The decision making power lies with the members since they own the organization but the Advisory members and the Trustees ensure that the decisions taken are in the best interest of the organization and not for members’ selfish ends. Members are formed into groups of not more than twenty people in each group and each group has its own executive members and convenient meeting days. The apex body holds monthly meetings with representatives of each group and the Executive members. Extraordinary meetings are held as and when necessary. Decisions concerning the organization are made and ratified at the annual general meetings which is held a year while the activities are guarded by the constitution. Members of the organization have representatives at the Trustee and Advisory Board. The organisational structure has the General Assembly, Board of Trustees, Advisory Board and the Executive Direction. The Advisory Board give advice for the smooth running of the organization as and when necessary. Member s of the organizationtake most of the decisions on issues concerning the organization and are represented on major committees and Advisory Board. Executive Directoris responsible for the day to day administration of the organization and liaises between the organization and the public. Admin/finance Officer reconciles Bank statements with organization’s accounts and ensures organisation’s accounting procedures are enforced Micro-credit Officer dsburses loans to and ensures repayment from beneficiaries and prepares relevant reports as and when due. Youth Empowerment Officer sees to the implementation of all youth’s programmes and also arranges counselling sessions for youths. Women Empowerment Officer organizes all activities for women and informs women on current issues affecting them as well educatpng women on their rights The organization is endowed with committed staff and board members who are strictly interested in its goals and objectives. It is the only organization in Ogun State that is running micro-finance for women only and this makes it uniquely recognized by all and sundry. WODECO is very strong in Parliamentary Advocacy and it is the first organization to pay a courtesy visit to the Legislatures at the National assembly at Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city to solicit for and influence domestication of the Child rights bill which was done last year. The organization’s Empowerment Unit has produced a lot of positive results as the number of women in Ogun state house of Assembly has risen from zero to 5. Besides women have gained recognition and have been offered enviable positions in the state as the Speaker of the house of Assembly and the Deputy Governor are females. The organization is opportuned to be recognized and benefit from the government at all levels and the fact that Government is highly interested in micro-credit as a means of poverty reduction aimed at meeting the first Millennium Development Goal has further enhanced this opportunity. Availability of computers and internet facilities in the office is also of great advantage.
    Number and type of members: WODECO is a membership organisation with two thousand and twenty four members. All the members are women above eighteen years olad and invilved in one income generating activiti or another. Most of the members are from rural areas and ordinarily they would not have access to empowerment of any sort.
