Making Africa Work, Inc., (MAW) is an international social enterprise dedicated to creating opportunities for improving the living standards of Africa's rural communities.
With offices in Nairobi and Vancouver, MAW aspires to be a bridge for both individual and corporate philanthropic interests to meet and connect with the social and entrepreneurial forces working together to raise the living standards in Africa's rural communities.
MAW was founded in 2010 by Pete Ondeng, the Managing Director of Africa Partnership Advisers (APA), a Nairobi based, investment advisory and consultancy firm. It is governed by an international Board of Directors and is managed by APA under an agency contract.
MAW’s initial geographic focus is in the Eastern Africa, covering Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia and Rwanda. As the need arises, satellite offices are to be opened in different parts of Africa to ensure efficient management and quality control. |
