    Year of registration: 2008
    Organizational structure: DIMMID is governed by a self-perpetuating Board of Directors comprised of the coordinators of the regional commissions of DIMMID (at present: Australia, India/Sir Lanka, Europe, and North America), the President of the Aide Inter-Monasteres, the Secretary General, and a minimum of three at-large Directors. The officers of the Board are a President/Chair, a Secretary, and a Treasurer, who form the Executive Committee
    Number and type of members: At present there are nine members of the Board of Directors. The coordinators of the regional commissions of DIMMID (India/Sri Lanka, Australia, North America, and Europe)and the President of Aide Inter-Monasteres are ex officio members of the board of directors, as is the Secretary General, who is appointed by the Abbot Primate of the Benedictine Confederation, after consultation with the Superiors General of the two branches of the Cistercians. Additional directors are elected by the board. At present there are three (the minimum number).
