Mission statement:
The Nubian Heritage Organization is a voluntary Non Governmental Organization registered at the Humanitarian Aid Commission, Khartoum –Sudan. The Organization is well established with its Head Office in Khartoum and a main branch in Wadi Halfa. Plans are in progress to open new branches in Alsakoat, Dongola and Halfa Aljadeeda, The Organizational Structure is formed of The General Assembly, The Executive Committee and The Executive Office whose members are full timers. The branch in Wadi Halfa is composed of the Advisory Council, a full time Executive Director, Projects Manager in addition to volunteers, focal points and branches in Wadi Halfa surrounding villages. Memberships The Nubian Heritage Organization is very effective and the activities of the Organization are stretched allover the Nubian areas, locations and sectors The Organization is enjoying the membership of the following: · Nubian Organizations Network · The Nubian strategic Work Committee · The Nubian Congress Preparatory committee · The Nubian Issues committee · Halfa, Alsakoat and Almahas Union · The Popular Committee for the Development of The Nuba Land . Institutional Purpose Since its inception, The Nubian Heritage Organization, which is targeting The Nubians who has been forcedly displaced, is basically aiming at documenting and preserving the Nubian heritage that goes four thousand years back into history, and teaching the Nubian Language which is on the verge of becoming extinct. In addition, the Organization is striving to achieve sustainable development for the population and the area alike, building the Youth capacities, strengthening the social fabric of the Nubians and building sustainable social peace. To achieve these objectives, purposes and goals, The Nubian Heritage Organization strategically positioned the following activities in its core plan: 1. Collect necessary data and information through surveys and studies that would ultimately lead to achieve the strategic goals of the Organization. 2. Establishment of a Data base and Programmes directory. 3. Collect all previous studies and documents which are relevant to The Nubian Heritage and study the effects of the forced displacement on The Nubians. 4. Methodological and scientific collection of Nubian songs and religious songs that praises Prophet Mohammad. 5. Coordinate and contact all the concerned parties who are in the field of Culture and documentation so as to conduct fairs, exhibitions and document for the Culture and Heritage of The Nubians. 6. Raise funds from Governmental, Non Governmental, National and International Donors so as to implement the projects of The Organization.
