    Organizational structure: The Samuel DeWitt Proctor Conference, a US 501c3, is headed by a diverse board of clergy, justice activist, union, foundation, education and human rights advocacy representatives. A national staff and team of volunteers and partners implement the work of the Conference in the US and abroad. Members are affiliated who attend and engage in SDPC sponsored conferences, trainings, adovocacy and educational activities. Partnerships include local, national and international activities with other faith based NGOs, unions, and institutions of higher education. Individuals associated with and organizations who partner with SDPC have participated in many UN activities, served as delegates of other NGOs and hold consultative status. SDPC is supported by its Board of Trustees and others, in addition to support from foundation and philantrhopic sources. The SDPC is named after an esteemed global and respected clergy, educator amd public servant, the late Rev. Dr. Samuel DeWitt Proctor.
    Number and type of members: 8000 affiliate faith based and educational organizations, including churches, schools of theology, faith leaders and social justice advocacy organizations. Most of the membership is reflective of the African American faith tradition; itis is interdenominational with interfaith and secular outreach. SDPC's reach extends to millions in the United States, Caribbean, South America and Africa.
