Mission statement:	a) Promote the study and research of gerontological issues, and the publication and dissemination of its results. b) Foster the improvement of the quality of gerontological services in Argentina. c) Advocate for the rights of older persons. d) Promote the cooperation between the members, encouraging, supporting, disseminating and rewarding actions that lead to improve, develop and prestige gerontologist activities. e) Participate in conferences to represent this association. f) To promote the employability of the graduates, undergraduates and post graduates in gerontology. g) Organize conferences, courses, symposia and debates, aimed at the dissemination of the gerontological activity in the country. h) Collaborate with universities in relation to curriculum, practice and research in gerontology. i) Advice in every measure of government concerning the prevention, investigation and assistance to the field of gerontology. j) Foster exchange of information and technical expertise among its members. k) Establish relations of reciprocity, cooperation and exchange with other similar entities of the country or abroad. l) Develop any other activities aimed to the best accomplishment of the above mentioned objectives.
