The Forum of International Solidarity from Migration, in short, FORIM is a platform that brings together national networks, federations and clusters of Solidarity Organisations International immigrant (OSIM) engaged in actions of Integration "here" and development activities in countries of origin. The FORIM represents about 700 associations working in sub-Saharan Africa, North Africa, Asia, South East, the Caribbean and Indian Ocean. Created in March 2002 with the support of French authorities, it reflects the will of its members to partner with all segments of French civil society to promote the integration of population issues in international migration, strengthen exchanges between France and countries of origin and contribute to the development of their region of origin. It shows a specific picture of the community life of people of immigrant background and highlights the positive aspects of the dual membership by promoting actions carried out in France about integration, cultural exchange and shares of developing to the countries of origin. |
