Organizational structure: |
The organisation comprises of an advisory committee individuals with experience and knowledge in the different facets of our organization. They are five in number. They provide the Board of Directors and membership with guidance relating to the legal, financial, programmatic and administrative elements of this organization. Their role is limited to guidance, as well as support if necessary and appropriate; they are not decision makers.
The Board of Directors is the supreme organ of BAVEEKO BASOME and is made up of all founder members. It comprises of 16 members who elected amongst themselves a Chairman, Vice Chairman, Treasurer and a Secretary General. Members of this board shall hold office for a period of two (2) years and shall eligible for re-election depending on the performance. Any member of the board may at anytime resign from office giving a one month’s notice in writing to the Chairperson. |
Number and type of members: |
Membership of the organization is opened to all interested individuals, institutions or groups of people who share with us the same interests
(a) Founder members (10 - ten): These are the original members who initiated the organization and signed the constitution.
(b) Life members: (5 - five) These are the category of people who assist the organization materially or financially at the time of formation.
(c) Ordinary members: (500) This category of members consists of disadvantaged persons who are registered with the organization and other individuals who have shown interest in the works of the organization and are willing to work devotedly for the organization.
Also in this category are former street children under rehabilitation and auspices of other partner organizations, street kids and orphans.
(d) Affiliated members: (5 - five) These are organizations or associations with similar interests who have benefited from the services of the organization.
6.2 All members are required to participate actively and responsibly in the programmes of the organisation.
6.3 Every founder member shall be required to sign a form of declaration and take an oath of allegiance to the organisation.
6.4 One does not have to be a member to benefit from the activity of the organisation. |
