SAFIRE’s mission revolves around two main areas of intervention:
Specialized education that focuses on the structuring of the personality of the child, the support to the beneficiaries into their social integration, the implementation of educational and sports activities and finally the cultural education of the child. To this end, we believe it is preferable to intervene in the natural environment of the child, and, consequently, develop open-air activities within the community. Removing the child from his family or his environment may have serious consequences for the child.
The second axis of intervention is to provide “ Popular education” to our children, with primary objective of educators and officials of the NGOs to work within the family and the community where the child develops. This is done so as to empower them and make them become active partners for rehabilitation and development of the children.
SAFIRE employes 15 street educators, one field coordinator and one manager. It is composed of seven board members ( President, Vice-president, treasory, assistant treasory, secretary, assistant secretary abd one member).
SAFIRE is in charge of 175 street children in 7 regions |
