Mission statement:	Folua has these objectives: a. to get the people to actively participate in the social, economic and cultural development of the DRC; b. to effectively participate in the social and economic betterment of the needy; c. to help women in their efforts to better their lives; d. to educate young women to advance justice and peace in the DRC; e. to improve the quality of life for women in the DRC; f. to help unemployed women and widows with micro-projects so they can meet their needs; g. to assist the socio-economic and health needs of vulnerable persons, such as widows, orphans, handicapped, etc.; and h. to assure that each person helped has an environment adapted to their needs to help with their different problems, such as social dependence, economic, material, financial, and health needs.

Organizational structure:	Folua has a president and a vice president. They also have a 7 member board of directors. The board makes the decisions and the president and vice president carry out these decisions.
