    Organizational structure: CRISDI has a four-member Board of Trustees, three technical committees of which the Chairpersons of these committees are also board members. CRISDI has three operational offices located in Abuja (head office), Minna and Calabar office. The three technical committees are those of Organizational Management, Programme/Research and Policy Advocacy. The Management Committee is headed by the Executive Secretary who is also a member of the Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees meets twice yearly to review the performance of the organization, address issues of funding, determine whether programmes are consistent with the organization’s mission, and assess the work of Committees. However, the Board is also opened to 5 international observers from the Sub-Saharan Africa who supports our operational philosophy. The three Committees seek the endorsement of the Board to operate but this is secured through an annual strategic meeting where programmes are presented discussed and adopted. Other matters for decision-making go through Committees and each committee consists of four members (one board member, one expert, and two staff) to support its work. The Abuja office engages national, regional and international programmes that bother on the mechanisms by which local policies recognizes the vulnerabilities of poor women in the design of climate change adaptation and mitigation. The office also moderates programmes development and organisational management, Policy Advocacy and institutional development. Our office in Minna, Niger State works with local communities in building their capacities to mobilize for collective governance regimes towards the management of natural resources. The office also works with a range of community based formations to enhance rural enlightenment and biodiversity conservation issues. The Calabar office coordinates the organization’s programmes on Gender and REDD+ as Calabar, a town in Cross River State of Nigeria, the pioneer state that has gone ahead in setting up structures for REDD+ readiness and implementation.
