Organizational structure: |
The Institute for Economic Research on Innovation (IERI) is a part of the Faculty of Economics and Finance and has the same standing as a full academic department. It supplies an annual report and has a budget allocation from Tshwane University of Technology (TUT). The academic personnel of IERI teach in the Faculty's own Department of Economics and also at other Higher Education Institutions, locally and abroad. IERI manages the Faculty's Research and Innovation Focus Area on the "Political Economy of Innovation and Local Development". |

IERI's staff complement consists of a core component of five (5) full-time staff: Chief Director, Administrator, Senior Research Fellows (Professors)and Research Fellows (Associate Professors); and a select group of Research Associates, ranging from Professors Extraordinaire, through visiting academics, post-doctoral researchers, doctoral students and interns. |
