The ECF is organised in five different programmes, with communications support from the Energy Strategy Center.
The following tow programmes deal with overarching policies:
- Climate Diplomacy Programme secures EU climate leadership in global negotiations.
- Energy Efficiency Programme supports EU and national policies to reduce energy consumption.
Moreover, we have identified three priority sectors that form our core programmes:
- Power Programme seeks to de-carbonise power generation.
- Transport Programme supports policies to reduce carbon footprint and promote more efficient transport systems.
- Climate Policy Programme secures pan-European and in-country policies that drive sectoral abatement efforts.
The ECF engages with Europe's political, business, media and civil society stakeholders to drive change towards a prosperous low-carbon economy by demonstrating our analysis of climate policies and underlining the implications of these policies.
To achieve this, the ECF the ECF plays three major roles: facilitator, by granting funds to other organisations; actor, the ECF also undertakes projects in its own and capacity builders, whether as funder or partner.
Organisational bodies:
- Leadership Team: integrated by our CEO, Johannes Meier and all the programme directors.
- Supervisory Board: consists of dedicated professional from diverse backgrounds who have complimentary expertise in climate change. The board provides oversight on the ECF's overall strategy, ensures its financial health, measures progress, and evaluates both successes and lessons learned.
- Advisory Board: This international body consists of distinguished professionals who draw on their individual and collective experiences in politics, business, academia and civil society. Members of the Advisory Council actively engage in advancing the ECF's mission both providing strategic advise and through advocacy. |
