    Organizational structure: Indalo Yethu is a legacy project of the 2002 World Summit on Sustainable Development that was held in Johannesburg, South Africa. It is aimed at mobilising the country around environmental and sustainability issues. These include climate change, conservation, the green economy, jobs and skills as well as environmental justice. The agency was officially launched in 2006 as an independent trust of the Department of Environmental Affairs. Green Jobs Ecotowns The Building Energy Auditor Training (BEAT) programme conceptualised by Indalo Yethu to involve youth in the national energy efficiency and demand side management efforts. Read more In April 2010, Indalo Yethu launched its Ecotowns initiative, a local government intervention that looks at building capacity at a local level to create sustainability-centred models for town development. Read more Outreach Making Mzantsi Beautiful mzantsi Eco Endorsment Eco Labeling Make Mzansi Beautiful is a call-to-action of South Africa’s National Waste Management Campaign developed to address urgent issues identified in the National Waste Management Strategy.Read more Eco labelling is an initiative by Indalo Yethu through which organisations and businesses will obtain endorsement of their products as green and environmentally friendly.
