    Organizational structure: Headquartered in New York, ICA executes programs through regional offices in Brussels, Santiago, Singapore and New York, and its Copper Alliance includes 27 centers on six continents, active in over 60 countries in such fields as sustainable energy including energy access, renewable enery, energy efficiency of appliances and equipment; safe and effective delivery of electricity, potable water and gas; effects of copper on human health and environment and copper’s contribution to sustainable development; innovative technologies that contribute to economic development and improved quality of life worldwide.
    Number and type of members: About 40 members at the global ICA level, with some 500 regional and local members of the Copper Alliance affilated with ICA within regions and countries. ICA level contributing members include copper mining, smelting and refining, and international companies that transform copper into products useful to society, such as wire and cable and fabricated copper products.
    Affiliation with NGO networks: ICA partners with many UN departments. Accredited as observer to UNFCCC.
