Mission statement:	Our mission is to assist both governments and industry with the transition to a low carbon economy. To achieve this we convene groups of experts to provide rigorous fact-based research and demonstration of low carbon and low energy technologies that will support principally the decarbonisation of the power and manufacturing sectors, their supply chains and associated skills identified in governmental road maps. Through our engagement we can mobilise and leverage technology, public and private sector funding, catalysing partnerships between academia, government and industry.

Organizational structure:	The Centre for Low Carbon Futures is an evidence based research, development and demonstration centre based at the University of York. CLCF is a not-for profit NGO membership organisation.
Number and type of members:	Our founding member Universities are the Universities of Leeds, York, Sheffield and Hull.
Affiliation with NGO networks:	CLCF is a member of the RINGO constituency (Research & Independent Non-governmental Organisations to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change)
