The organs of the association are:
General assembly
Executive board
Revision committee
On a day to day basis, the organisation is run by the staff of the administrative office in collaboration with members (which comprise the General Assembly) and the executive board.
Annual General assembly
The general assembly is the highest organ of the association and regulates especially the following isues:
election of the executive board, two financial auditors and the revision committee
decision upon the financial plan from the executive board
receipt of the annual report and financial report of the executive board and the financial audit report
discharge of the executive committees
decision upon a financial order
decision upon the establishment of project groups
decision upon membership applications and exclusions
changes of the statutes
Executive board
The Executive Board consists of minimum four, maximum nine persons and the Treasurer. The members of the Executive Board must be under the age of 30 years; they can be but are not necessarily members of the member organizations. The adhesion of the Executive Board is limited to the property of the Association. The activity in the Executive Board is honorary.
The members of the Executive Board are elected by the General Assembly. The term of the members of the Executive Board is two years. They remain in office until the installation of the new Executive Board. The term of office ends within six months after the completion of the 30th living year of the individual member. When a member of the Executive Board resigns, a by-election can take place at the next General Assembly. The election procedure of the members of the Executive Board by the General Assembly is regulated by rules of procedure. The Association is legally represented by two members of the Executive Board, authorised by the Board. The executive board selects out of its circle two executive board speakers and if necessary resort leaders. The Executive Board acts to the duties and responsibilities stated in the rules of procedure. The decisions of the Board Meetings are to be logged in written form and to be signed by the writer of the minutes and one further member of the Executive Board.
The executive board can employ an administrative office with a secretary general, who can legally act and represent the organisation. The regulations of the administrative office are defined and described in the Rules of Procedure as well as details regarding office employees’ entering and quitting positions.
The Executive Board can establish Working Committees for the accomplishment and continuous running of certain projects.
Revision committee
The revision committee should consist of 3 persons to critically investigate the finance and the organisations
The revision committee is to be elected by the GA.
The revision committee should report about its activities to the GA on every general assembly meeting. Appointed by the GA, elected by the simple majority of the voting body.
The revision committee has to call for the extraordinary GA, if irregulations within the work of the Executive Board are suspected.

| Number and type of members: |
The European Youth Press (EYP) is an umbrella association of young journalists in Europe. It involves more than 50,000 journalists younger than 30. As a European network of young media makers, EYP has 24 members. EYP has member organisations based in Armenia, Austria, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Macedonia (FYROM), Malta, Moldova, Montenegro, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. Out of them, 7 organisations joined as observer members in order to get to know EYP and to evaluate full membership. EYP has also developed a network of young multipliers in the countries where it doesn’t have a member organization yet, like: Belgium, Finland, Norway, Estonia, Lithuania, Serbia, etc.
