The Board of Trustee consists of 3 persons including the Director/CEO;
Afolabi Caroline Modupe (Ms) - Masters of Economics: She has eight years experience in working with vulnerable women and children, that is, street/homeless children. She mobilizes, organizes workshops, facilitates as well as carries out case work with them. She is a member of Trustee and stakeholder.
She has also worked in various capacities as Programme Accountant and she is presently the Chief Executive Officer.
Ogunleye Ajoke Theresa (Ms) – Masters of Social Work: She has eleven years banking experience as a retired staff of First Bank of Nigeria and she has been responsible for managing the entire range of micro credit operations covering over 3000 clients. She is a Certified Credit Analyst. Theresa’s robust ideas in coordinating the activities of FGDI’s micro credit scheme have managed our portfolio at risk at 2% with repayment rate which stood at 98% zero tolerance.
Bankole Anthony (Mr.) – He is a professional with first degree in Accountancy, Member Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN), Senior member of Institute of Loan and Risk Management of Nigeria (ILRM); he has ten years cognizant experience in Micro credit scheme with Bangladesh ASA group lending methodology. He coordinates the overall affairs of Fortune Grassroots Development Initiative Nigeria as Chairman board of Trustee
FGDI has 3 major departments: Rural Community Development Advantage, Women Development and Promotion/ HIV & AIDS, and Micro-Credit.; 2 departments are headed by women and one by a man.
The Rural Community Development Advantage; Women Devlopment and promotion/HIV & AIDS programmes are centred at the Head office, while the Microcredit scheme has four main branches targeted at the grassroots women and youth within Osun and Oyo states south west region of Nigeria.
Apparently FGDI as Microfinance Institution has 1 Branch manager who works with 4 relationship officers in each of the branches.
Apart from these management team together with the Director of the organisation makes decisions. The management team consists of 3 persons including the Heads of Department and Director/CEO, Two women and One man. Planning, monitoring and evaluation are carried out by the departments, with supervision of the Director and Management Team. |
