Brief description of the UNA-Somalia structure:
The 27-member Governing Council (elected by the last Triennial General Assembly on 1 October 2019) consists of representatives of local NGOs and includes many outstanding personalities of political, scientific, cultural and religious life. UNASOM has some 3000 individual members and some 8 collective (institutional) members. The membership is growing and is open to the general public interested in UN affairs. |

1. Individual Membership:
• Regular Members: Individuals who join UNASOMALIA as individual supporters. They may participate in events, receive updates, and contribute financially or through volunteering efforts.
• Student Members: Specifically tailored for students, offering reduced membership fees and targeted educational opportunities and resources.
• Senior Members: Tailored for seniors, offering reduced membership fees and specialized programs catering to their interests and needs.
• Lifetime Members: Individuals who make a one-time, larger contribution to UNASOMALIA and receive lifetime membership benefits.
2. Collective Membership:
• Institutional Members: Organizations, institutions, or businesses that join UNASOMALIA as collective supporters. They may include universities, NGOs, corporations, or government agencies. Institutional members often receive tailored benefits such as sponsorship opportunities, networking events, and collaborative projects.
• Partner Organizations: Non-profit organizations, civil society groups, or other entities that collaborate closely with UNASOMALIA on specific initiatives or projects. Partnership agreements may outline mutual benefits and responsibilities. |
