Organizational structure: The success of this plan lies mostly in its resourcing, particularly the presence of a human resource base that is not only adequate to carry the task but also qualified to provide the necessary expertise. Annex 1, depicts the organizational structure required in the next 3 years for the success of Dominion Breed plans. In preparing this structure, the plan considers modern trends in Human Resources Management which emphasizes on flatter hierarchies that limit bureaucracies and serve as a form of motivation for staff. In this structure the Board of Trustees will maintain the role bestowed upon them by the Trust Deed, at the apex of the organization. The secretariat will be headed by a Director and below him programme managers running programme activities under the different thematic areas of focus identified in this plan. There is also need to have another manager and support staff in finance administration. The structure implies that Dominion Breed will be employing programme staff for only those programmes they will have secured funding for.
Number and type of members: We work with large constituencies including schools and churches. However, at this current stage, we are not a membership organisation.
    Funding structure:
  • Donations and grants from domestic sources
  • Foreign and international grants
