    Organizational structure: ACT is a pan-African, ‘Not for profit’, voluntary membership NGO, involving private, public and non-government sectors, and including farmers, input and machinery manufacturers and suppliers, researchers and extensionists, with an active conviction to promote, support and apply conservation agriculture to ensure viable and sustainable agriculture productivity while minimizing or reversing the environmental degradation that is devastating the continent. Membership is open to any individuals or groups committed to the development and promotion of conservation farming/tillage technologies for smallholder farmers in Africa. The headquarters is in Nairobi Kenya and sub-regional offices are lcated in Dar es salaam Tanzania, Harare Zimbabwe and Ouagadougou Burkina Faso. ACT has a Board of 11Directors from 8 African countries and four international organizations.
    Number and type of members: Membership is open to any individuals or groups committed to the development and promotion of conservation farming/tillage technologies for smallholder farmers in Africa. Current membership stands at 3000 Individuals and Institutions from 33 countries.
