Organizational structure: |
The offices of the Executive Secretariat of the Forum are located in Pretoria, Republic of South Africa. The Principal Organs of the Africa Forum are the General Assembly and the Executive Secretariat. The Principal Officers are the Chairperson, the Vice Chairperson and the Executive Secretary. Currently, the Chairperson of the Forum is His Excellency (HE) Joaquim Alberto Chissano, former President of the Republic of Mozambique while the Vice Chairperson is HE Nicephore D Soglo, former President of the Republic of Benin. |

Presently, the Africa Forum has a total of thirty-five (33) former Heads of State and Government and eight (8) other African leaders. These include two former Secretaries General of the United Nations and three former Secretaries General of the Organization of African Unity (OAU). It also includes one former United Nations-Under Secretary General (USG) and Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), one former President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), and a former Secretary General of the Commonwealth of Nations. |
