Mission statement:	The Association is aiming: •to promote objective and open dialogue at national, regional and international level in order to achieve a coherent, consistent and effective Drug policy •to study the drug situation in Southeast Europe, with special reference to the specific geopolitical and cultural characteristics of the countries in the region •to develop national, regional and international cooperation, partnerships and networks for a more effective drug policy on supply and demand, public health protection and promotion of social security. •to develop participatory social action of conscious and informed citizens with regard to the impact of drug use, address the problem with correct and honest information and support the implementation of prevention, treatment, harm reduction and rehabilitation programs •to identify and promote effective policies and practices in other countries or regions of the world, inform, sensitize and mobilize public opinion and public authorities (state and local government and the public sector in general) with the aim to tackle the negative effects of production, trafficking and drug use •support regional cooperation and coordination between NGOs working in the field of drugs, promote and further develop and consolidate the Network of NGOs and create good relationships with experts, scientists and policy makers responsible for the drug policy in the countries of Southeast Europe

Organizational structure:	The Association is governed by the founding partners and by other bodies (director or directors, manager, treasurer) to whom the Assembly of the partners will decide to allocate responsibilities. The highest decision making body of the Association is the Assembly of the partners. Partners of the association are the founders. The partners are required to comply with the provisions of these statutes and the decisions of the Association. The death of a partner does not entail the dissolution of the association, which will continue with the other partners. In addition to the partners, the association can register members of the association, to participate in activities and support its work. Member of the Association can be registered, after submitting a request to the Association, any natural or legal person who agrees with the aims and scope of activities and wishes to participate in actions. The request is accepted after a decision of the assembly of the partners. The decision will be recorded in the record books of the members. The Association may at any time be backed by scientific advisers, friends and supporters, who either individually or in any form of association will strengthen the individual activities of the association. They accept the statutes and the applicable rules and regulations
Number and type of members:	11 NGO organisations from the South East European Region working working in the field of Drug prevention, treatment, harm reduction and social rehabilitation of drug dependent people.
Affiliation with NGO networks:	Member of the Drug Policy Network in SEE (Diogenis is the lead and coordinating organisation), Member of the Internationa Drug Policy consortium, Member the UN Vienna NGO committee.
