Mission statement:	The Center for the Promotion and Defense of Sexual and Reproductive Rights (PROMSEX) is a leading Peruvian NGO working for the promotion of human rights and the expansion of access to sexual health, social justice, gender equality and the eradication of discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. PROMSEX sought to implement these purposes by performing the following activities: Quantitative and qualitative research regarding the levels of invisibility, denial and resistance of the matters related to sexual and reproductive rights. Incidence and transformation of key players through the communication on strategic based on human rights. Educational measures to medical and judicial staff on the obligations in relation to sexual and reproductive rights from a methodology based on human rights. Development of strategies for empowerment of groups of special protection: women, adolescents and sex workers. Provision of services of rapprochement between the legal assistance services in terms of accessibility and affordability in favor of disadvantaged groups. Development of networks of activism and reinforcement in relation to sexual and reproductive rights, especially women, persons living with HIV/AIDS, people TLGBI and their families. Promotion of access to adequate and adaptable health services to prevent maternal mortality caused by clandestine abortions. Incidence in the design of public policies that ensure the exercise of these rights as well as access to adequate health services.

Organizational structure:	PROMSEX has a decentralized structure, and through it the decision-making processes are distributed in departments and divisions, under democratic control, and there is a clear separation between the staff and the executive bodies. The Assembly of Associates defines the goals of PROMSEX and is responsible to establish its institutional mission, their purposes as well as the main strategies. PROMSEX is divided into three divisions equipped with the functions and the necessary resources. The following directorates are responsible for planning and the implementation of the projects of the organization: Technical Directorate, Research Directorate, Administrative and Financial Directorate. The Board of Directors serves as the permanent trustee body of PROMSEX. It works in the decision-making process and lines of work of the organization.
