Mission statement:	The mission of HAARAN is to develop the capacity of refugees, immigrants, and internally displaced persons set back by adversity of disability, and their caregivers, families, clans, and communities to live lives that are meaningful, productive and integrated into wider society. HAARAN is headquartered in the US and services the needs of the disabled and the ultra-poor throughout the Horn of Africa nations as well as immigrants from these countries who reside in the USA particularly Maine. The HAARAN Tool Kit for PWD socio-economic stabilization is based on the Five R's of Recovery: recognition, restoration, rehabilitation, reintegration, and resilience training.

Organizational structure:	HAARAN is a US tax-exempt non-profit organization. We have two organizational divisions; one for the US Team, and one for the East Africa Team. The Executive Committee of the NGO manages both teams and has assigned Team Leads and Local Coordinator Roles.
Number and type of members:	HAARAN has no members, but uses the capabilities of more than 75 volunteers to advance its work in the US and in Africa.
