Organizational structure: |
All of the members of the organization are part of the General Assembly and it is the highest governing body that meets once a year. The members of the General Assembly elect the members of the Executive Committee that is consisted of 5 members, from which more than 50% needs to be woman and one needs to be young person below 25 years of age. All of the members of the Executive Committee are volunteers and are not paid for their involvement. The Executive Committee elects a President from among its members. By appointment of the General Assembly, the Executive Committee appoints the Executive Director that is responsible for managing the office day to day businesses. The Committee besides governing the organisation has a responsibility to oversee the financial and programmatic affairs of the executive office. The implementation of programs is a responsibility of the Program Director, while the administrative and finance director is managing budgets. There are several programs that are managed by program and project coordinators. Different social, law and health service providers are part of the organisational structure as well, because HERA is providing services for key populations in the cities and in remote part with mobile clinics. |
Number and type of members: |
The number of members of HERA is 113. A great part of them are young people younger than 24 years and there are more than 50% women. The membership is diverse by professional background, gender identity and sexual orientation, ethnicity as well place of residence. The direct beneficiaries coming from the youth, people living with HIV and Roma are also part of the membership. There are three membership categories: full, associate and corporate. |
