Mission statement:	Cities of Peace™ is a nonprofit, tax-exempt association dedicated to connecting, promoting, and encouraging the global cities of peace movement. International Cities of Peace is a registered trademark of Cities of Peace, Inc. An Advisory Council of leaders from global Cities of Peace organizations is working to create an all-inclusive, non-polarizing network of world citizens working on the ground to bring peace to their communities. Peace, in the view of this organization, is not just a hope. It's a right. VISION: To foster peace as a consensus value in Cities of Peace around the world. MISSION: To network, encourage, document, and provide resources and information for leaders and organizations working to make peace a consensus value through the global Cities of Peace movement. GOALS: • Network individuals, villages, and cities of peace, internationally. • Provide an independent, unaligned resource for Cities of Peace. • Act as a non-polarizing source of information on worldwide peace issues. • Encourage, honor, and connect peace adherents and organizations. • Document the history, scholarship, and formation of cities of peace. • Planting peace poles and holding workshops on conflict resolution • Encourage acts of peace-building, including building schools and providing healthcare, basic necessity, and safety for the under-served in a community • Promote the ideal of a World Dream of peace.

Organizational structure:	Cities of Peace is an association of cities with the main office providing the networking, communication, and resource materials for establishing cities of peace around the world. A Board of Directors, an Executive Director, a social networking manager as well as many other volunteers provide leadership. An Advisory Council of over 150 leaders provides on-the-ground work experience within each city of peace.
Number and type of members:	OVER 150 International Cities of Peace as of 2017. The Advisory Council of Leaders of Cities of Peace and affiliate organizations numbers 200 members with over 5000 signatures of participating citizens.
Affiliation with NGO networks:	Alliances and partnerships include the International Network of Museums for Peace, the Shift Network, the World Prayer Society, Compassionate Cities, United Religions Initiative, and many others.
