Mission statement:	Mission Statement: Youth Reformation and Awareness Centre is a nongovernmental and not for profit organization. It is an organization with the mission of improving the future of Nigeria by impacting positively on the development of children who are the future leaders. YRAC organizes activities for schools, hospitals, social and religious organizations where children and parents are. As the world is revolving rapidly, the future needs more readiness to sustain the impending changes. Children need more than what the formal school system provides as parents need regular information updates to bring up holistic children. Regular schooling has enlightened the minds of children to develop questions which need imperative answers. Gaps are created when schools cannot provide all the answers. Schools have a whole lot of academic and other extra-curricular activities to occupy children during school period. For children to be holistically educated, they need to be involved with other complementary activities to balance school lessons. YRAC provides bridges for gaps of information that homes and schools cannot close. Emphasis is placed on the mental health of children which is essential for their well-being. Parents and teachers are also coached because they are the mentors of children and their presence provides the right audience for YRAC presentations. Further, the mission is accomplished by working with a team of professionals and experts in fields of Education, Psychology, Guidance and counseling, Health/Medical workers, Social works, and Religious/Inspirational works, Consultants, Legal Advisers and Researchers into current issues. YRAC Books (YRAC Publications) is a department that publishes books and other awareness resources by the organization to sustain and update the members with necessary information. Envisioned to creating a corrupt free society; competent leaders with the right skills and patriotic minds of making Nigerian State: “the true giant of Africa”. Gathering a team of experts in every area of children’s development to provide bridges for knowledge gaps in children, to raise focused, holistically educated and competent future leaders.YRAC objectives: • To provide activities that boost good mental health of children and adolescents • To provide therapy, counseling and rehabilitation to the physically and psychologically/emotionally challenged children and awareness activities to normal children • To provide self-development/talent and literacy activities/lessons for children • Organizing coaching and knowledge/experience sharing forums for parents • Carrying out teachers’ and other career development workshops and seminars on effective teaching and management of the 21st century classroom/work competencies and performance/productivity enhancement • Providing complementary and required resources in prints, media activities and also act as a voice/liaison between the people and the government • Collaborating and providing intervention with the right national/international organizations, policy makers and legislative bodies to ensure good governance

Organizational structure:	The Board of Trustees: • There are eight in number and were appointed during the general meeting of the organization before it was officially registered by the CAC. IT is the main decision taking body of the organization. • The board of trustee members are supposed to hold office for life except for reasons as stipulated in the organization’s constitution(Article 5, no. 3) MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE This is the Executive Council. Their function is to make regulations which when read at the general meetings by the General Secretary becomes binding to all. The structure is made up of the following: • Executive Secretary • Treasurer/Financial Secretary • Social/Publicity Secretary • Legal Adviser DUTIES OF THE GOVERNING BOARD a. They shall formulate policy for the Organization. b. They shall direct the opening of the organization’s bank account and to appoint its three (3) signatories. Any two (2) signatories shall be valid for any withdrawal. One of such signatories shall be the CHAIRMAN. c. To receive and consider feed-back on the utilization of grants, scholarship e.t.c, advance by the organization. d. To determine the merit and demerits of application for grants, and to take appropriate on the applications. MEMBERSHIP Membership is open to persons who are approved by the Governing Board and also share the passion of the NGO. Our members also have experience in various works of life and voluntarily offer their services to YRAC where needed.
