Mission statement:
We have a passion for growing young people. We inspire global citizens to lead in the spirit of the United Nations. Our Quest is to raise young Leaders, for future Leadership, Diplomacy, and Global governance. Our mandate is to promote the Global goals of the United Nations, impact lives and make sure No one is left behind. UN Youth is a non-profit organisation that provides civics education outside the traditional classroom context. Through fun workshops, Model UN, and discussion groups, we engage secondary and tertiary students in the most pressing affairs of their country and the international community. Our aim is to connect young people with others who care, and help them develop confidence in their own beliefs and abilities. UN Youth is a springboard to help youth go out into the world feeling empowered to make good change. Wars, Violence and Conflicts in the World are normally generated and begin from the Youth’s initiation, involvement, and sweet-talk influences that compel them with no choice other than to participate in Mass Demonstrations and dangerous Protects that lead to country’s properties destruction, Violence conflicts and Civil Wars. As a matter of fact, It is however identified that, few among the Adult and Old age would be seen holding guns and weapons, fighting and creating Violence and conflicts through political demonstrations and protests in country's streets and Cities. When a country decides to give it best attention and focus on the Youth and Young ones, by uniting and promoting peace and harmony among them, that country becomes a War-free and Peaceful Nation. Hence, there is a need to create a strategic Peace education platform and mediums to unite and bring all the youth together under one umbrella for peace, unity and oneness, irrespective of their educational background, religions, tribes, and Political Affiliations. UN Youth Ghana, has come far by achieving it first objective of bringing all the Youth in Ghana as one. This youth are well equipped and been taught all educative and social Character development studies, and Peaceful training education that is helping them to live in peace and oneness, by avoiding mass participation and involvement that lead to Violence, Conflicts , Chaos and War before, during and After Election in Ghana.
