    Organizational structure: The Amazon Conservation Team (ACT-U.S.) is an independent, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The Amazon Conservation Team is formally made up of three entities: a U.S.-based 501(c)(3); a second legal entity, formed in Suriname; and a third, registered in Colombia. ACT-U.S. is governed by a U.S.-based Board of Directors.
