Organizational structure: |
Members of the NGO Committee on Sustainable Development-NY Board of Directors of which there are four founding members who shall serve until removed by a vote of the majority of the Board of Directors or upon their resignation. Additional directors are elected by a majority of the directors then in office. The number of directors shall be a minimum of three (3). Directors need not be residents of the State of New York. The business and affairs of the NGO Committee on Sustainable Development-NY are managed by its Board of Directors and shall include fundraising. The officers of the Board of Directors shall consist of a President, two Vice Presidents, an Administrative Treasurer and a Recording Secretary. Every four years there are elections of the NGOCSD-NY Executive Board. There is a nomination committee formed to conduct the nomination process from the membership. Following the nomination process the Nomination Committee creates a slate of qualified candidates and there is an election in December of that year at a General Membership Meeting and the vote is with full members of the NGOCSD-NY. The Executive Board consists of a Chair, two Vice Chairs, Treasurer, a Secretary and a Corresponding Secretary plus the Chair Ex-Officio with a minimum of six additional Executive Board members, each of who shall be elected by the General membership. NGOCSD-NY Executive Board members shall be elected for a term of four (4) years or until a successor has been duly elected and qualifies or appointed by the President with the approval of the Executive Board. |
