Mission statement:	Damanhur Education aims to create, develop and disseminate, at national and international level, the education on environmental sustainability and divulgation of the culture of respect for the environment and alternative human settlements (ecovillages) as well as global training of any individual, in all age groups. Such education is based on a holistic and spiritual vision of the individual and of life and is interpreted and lived as a continuous opportunity for both cognitive and ethical exchange in the development of social relationships. The Association aims to spread, disseminate and popularize a culture of conscious and sustainable development, in the social, economic, ethical and cultural areas (engaging also in the dissemination of a culture for peace, for boys' and girls' rights, for conflict resolution, for research in the areas of renewable energy, construction according to the principles of green building, organic farming etc.). It is proposed to disseminate the principles of a culture that helps to transition into sustainable ways of life for the creation of a global society that includes respect and care for all forms of life, universal human rights, respect for diversity, participatory democracy and exchange among peoples in order to safeguard the cultural heritage. The Association aims to promote the knowledge and experimentation of new teaching methods which take account of a systemic approach that will lead to integration and connections between different forms of knowledge. Activities may be open to children, youth and adults from around the world, because the presence of different nationalities and cultures contributes to the recognition of diversity as a value, reciprocal enrichment and collective resource.
