    Organizational structure: GMW is a 501 (c) (3 non-profit organization based in Cincinnati Ohio. In 2008, we founded the Cincinnati Music & Wellness Coalition, the first community-wide recreational music making wellness coalition in the US. Over 80 organizations from cities in 6 states come together for a common purpose of helping vulnerable populations take an active and meaningful role in their health and well-being. Members consist of hospitals, universities, senior care facilities, organizations serving developmentally disabled, at-risk youth, brain-injured children, and individuals recovering from mental health and substance abuse. GMW is governed by a board of 4 directors consisting of a board chair, treasurer, secretary and director. They provide expertise in the professions of medical, legal, finance, and pharmaceutical.
    Number and type of members: As mentioned above, members of the Cincinnati Music & Wellness Coalition bring diverse backgrounds to GMW. The 80 organizations from cities in 6 US states serve older adults, developmentally disabled, at-risk youth, refugees, ethnic & cultural groups, and individuals recovering from mental health and substance abuse.
