Organizational structure: |
WWP EN is a member-based non-profit association based in Germany. Members of the association may be legally constituted organisations from all countries in Europe if they accept the goals, mission statement and statutes of the association and they work directly or indirectly with people who perpetrate violence in close relationships. The board decides on admission to membership based on fulfilment of these criteria.
The organisation is run by the Executive Director. The board is currently composed of ten representatives of member organisations, with a gender balance of four men and six women, with three organisations focusing on victim support as their core activity. The board is elected by membership at the annual general meeting for a period of three years and can be re-elected for two additional terms only. Members hold office until the re- election of the board. To ensure adequate representation of victim/survivor support organisations, two elected seats on the board are reserved for representatives of organisations who focus on victim/survivor support as their core activity.
An Equality Sub-Committee is responsible for ensuring democratic and fair processes within the organisation.
The annual general meeting is the highest governing body of the association. At the meetings, membership decides, inter alia, on the strategic direction of WWP EN, on statute changes if needed, elects new board members, and approves of the budget for the next business year. |
