Organizational structure: |
(1) The WBO General Assembly of Members (WBO GA)
WBO GA is the supervision body of WBO, held in January annually. Any member of WBO has rights to attend, supervise and monitor the affairs of WBO. All the members of administrative and executive bodies of WBO shall report to the GA about their duties, activities, performances, and agendas in the past and the plans for the future. The GA agenda includes election of the rotating chairman of GA.
The members’ rights include:
a) Advocating and Voice. Members can provide advice and expertise, and influence Boards’ decisions.
b) Information Rights. Members can inquiry the operation to make sure the WBO’s objectives are achieved, be informed of the major issues;
c) Watchdog function. Members can oversee the decision-making process, making sure it is democratic, transparent and optimally effective;
d) Participation and Support. Members can participate and provide services to support WBO’s activities and initiates.
(2) Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is the decision-making body of WBO. It has all the power to manage the business and affairs of WBO. The Boards is consisted of at least 4 and no more than 15 directors, elected according to the Articles and Bylaws of WBO. All directors were elected to serve a one-year term. Other members can participate in Boards general meetings as observers.
(3) Boards Committees
The Boards, by resolutions adopted by a majority of the directors then in office, designated certain powers to the following six committees, each consisting of two or more directors:
1) Presidium Bureau;
2) Council Committee;
3) Expert Committee:
-International Relationship Committee (IRC),
-Strategic and Investment Committee (SIC),
-Digital Identity Committee (DIC),
-Crypto Currency Committee (CCC),
-Digital Safety Committee (DSC);
4) Advisory Committee;
5) Special Commissioners; and
6) the Secretariat.
The committee members shall be appointed and authorized by the Boards. Any committee, to the extent provided in the resolution of the Boards, shall have all the authority of the Boards.
(4) Execution Body
1) Officers.
The Boards has appointed these four officers: Director General, Executive Director General, Chief Economist, Counsel General, Secretary General to be the execution body of WBO. All of them were appointed by, and serve at the pleasure of, the Boards. Each Officer has the authority to perform the duties set forth in the Bylaws or by resolution of the Boards.
2) Agencies. Under the lead of the Officers, the functional departments of WBO are composed by:
i) News and Media Agency,
ii) Legislation and Policy Agency,
iii) Industrial Standard Agency,
iv) Event & Exhibition Agency,
v) Education & Training Agency.
vi) Rating & Licensing Agency.
