Organizational structure: |
SURUDEV is governed by a number of internal structures 1. The General Assembly: This is the supreme organ of the organization. 2. The Board of Directors (BOD): The board of Directors is a four man dynamic team from diverse backgrounds. Among them is the executive Director who is the head of the team, a secretary General, a treasurer and an adviser. The BOD is answerable to the general assembly though the over see the management of the organization. 3. The office of the executive Director: The office of the Executive Director forms the heart of the organization. activities are carried out within this organ. The various departments and sub departments under the Executive Director's office are as follows: 3a. The Programs manager: He is assisted by a project developer. The programs manager takes care of all the programs of the organization. He has five main departments under him with 12 projects running. The five departments include: The Department of Biodiversity conservation,livelihood development and agriculture, capacity building and environmental education,program development, communication and advocacy and the technical and logistics department. 3b. Membership into SURUDEV has been opened to both physical and moral adherents. We have both dormant members (who do not contribute) and active members who pay their annual dues and respect the bylaws and the constitution of SURUDEV. We have equally had sympathizers who are happy with the ideologies of SURUDEV and contribute towards our activities. So many people have volunteered with SURUDEV and have lent their expertise to a successful realization of lofty SURUDEV projects SURUDEV boosts of a seven man dynamic executive that oversees its activities, six experienced and well-trained staff and nine volunteers of various backgrounds working across the different organizations projects across the region. |
