    Organizational structure: Governing bodies: The DAI is governed by a Board of Directors, referred hereafter as the Board. Any member is eligible to hold the office. Elections are held at the annual general meeting or as needed upon notification of the membership. Each term will last for one year. There is no limit on the number of terms an individual may hold office. The Board is the policy and advisory-making body. It will consist of not less than four individuals. The maximum number will depend on the size of the organization and the number and nature of the current project. The Board formulates polices and provides advice to the Management Team and membership as they work on specific projects. The Board approves expenditures and operational plans of the organization. The Board appoints financial reviewers annually and approves the outcome. The Board decisions are reached by consensus or majority vote. The Board may, at their discretion, open the vote to the entire membership. The minimum offices of the Board are: - Chair - Secretary - Treasurer - President of the Board of Management - and Two Advisers The responsibilities of these positions are described in the constitution. The Board will meet at least three times per year, or as often as necessary to resolve issues. The Board will form committees from themselves and the general management to work on specific programs. The Board has the authority to appoint or dismiss members to or from the committee or the organization . The Board will receive reports from each Committee at each meeting. The Board of Directors appoint the Board of Management (or Executive Directorate)that will be responsible for: The day-to-day activities and transactions of the organization. Policy implementation Preparation of policy materials, annual and other reports for submission to the Board of Directors.
