    Organizational structure: IIRD is a not-for-profit developmental organisation incorporated under Companies Act in India and dedicated towards bringing rural prosperity through the following areas: research and studies; training and capacity building; technical support and consultancies; and institutional networking in the national & global perspectives. The organisation is governed by the Board of Directors as per the provisions laid down in the Companies Act. With the diverse experience for last 15 years in the development sector covering almost all thematic areas of development, the organization is empaneled under various programmes with different Ministries and State Govt. Departments. IIRD has worked with ministries like Ministry of Rural Development, Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Ministry of Minority Affairs, Ministry of Food Processing, Ministry of Entrepreneurship & Skill Development, Ministry of Environment & Forests and others. Similarly, amongst the PSUs, apart from GAIL (INDIA) Limited, IIRD has also worked with ONGC, NTPC, NMDC, EIL, NFL, SJVN and many other corporate houses with the foot prints in 21 states of the country. With the specialization in conceiving, planning, designing and implementing the projects, IIRD has completed more than 100 small and medium size projects for last five years as per the information reflected in the Gist of Projects. The organization being signatory to the United Nations Global Compact Network India (GCNI), promote values and business Ethics in all its affairs. The structure of the organiation starts its Board of Directors followed by Managing Director, Line Departmental Heads and the functionaries down the line. Apart from the shareholders, the organisation has also created advisory groups from amongst different level of stakeholders to ensure the best developmental impact of its affairs.
