    Organizational structure: IILA is a non-profit organization, incorporated under New York State law, and a registered 501(c)(3) in the US Federal system. It has an external Board of Directors, overseeing all legal and operational aspects of the organization. It possesses an Advisory Council on Public International Law, made of experts in the field, to provide insight into the topics IILA engages work in for its State Partners. The Executive Director is supported by Legal Advisers, and a number of rotating Interns and Fellows.
    Number and type of members: IILA is not a membership organization per se, but does seek funding from individual donors (in addition to philanthropic entities, etc.).
