Organizational structure: Seton Hall University is run by an executive cabinet and guided by the Board of Trustees and the Board of Regents, which are composed by dedicated and distinguished women and men from a diverse range of backgrounds, and who share the vision of advancing SHU’s mission. The University’s executive cabinet is comprised of the University President, Provost and Executive Vice President, Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff, Vice President for University Relations, Vice President for University Advancement, Vice President for Enrollment Management, Vice President for Student Services, Vice President for Mission and Ministry, Vice President for Board Affairs and University Strategy, General Counsel, and Chief Financial Officer. The Board of Trustees is responsible for maintaining the essential character of the University as a Catholic institution of higher learning. It elects the members of the Board of Regents, provides recommendations, has the authority to amend the University’s By-Laws, and has exclusive rights over the University’s real estate and property. It is comprised by sixteen members – eight Ex-officio (full voting privileges) and eight appointed members. The Board of Regents is responsible for the management of the overall affairs of the University. It has been granted with the power and authority to govern matters related to operations, finance, and human resources. It is comprised by no less than 32 and no more than 46 members (ex-officio – full voting privileges- and up to 35 elected members).
