Organizational structure: |
- NGO’s and grassroots organizations: ERTF is an umbrella organization based on a thematic oriented membership to simplify the procedure for obtaining membership. Any grassroots initiative (local/national/international) or NGO can apply for a membership directly to one of the seven founding international Romani organizations. The organizational structure focuses on the proactive participation of the Roma NGO’s in the ERFT structure and possibilities that will enable the various NGO’s to play an active and effective role in contributing to the overall working success of ERTF. - The founding Romani Organizations: The founding organizations are the main pillar of the organizational structure, therefore the organization is based on wide consultation with these organizations. They are responsible for the establishment and the management of the thematic working groups. These founding organizations are: Roma National Congress (RNC), International Romani Union (IRU), International Roma Women’s Network (IRWN), European Roma Young People (FERYP), East meets West (EMW), Gypsy and Travelller International Evangelical Fellowship (GATIEF) and International Roma Evangelical Mission (IREM). - Delegates: Each member organization has seven delegates. The representation of these delegates has to support the geographical balance and the gender/youth balance of the ERTF. By 2018 ERTF wants to reach a full gender balance. - The Plenary Assembly The delegates are also part of the Plenary Assembly, which contains 56 members: seven seats per international organization and seven seats for the group of politicians. The Plenary Assembly is linked with the Secretariat, the group of founding members and the Executive committee. - The Executive committee: Exists of 8 members that are nominated by the international Organizations and confirmed by the Plenary Assembly. One seat is reserved for Women Representation, two seats are reserved for Youth organization. - The group of founding members: They have clearly defined roles and responsibilities. They need to solve disputes between member organizations within the ERTF and they safeguard the implementation of the Statute, the Rules of procedures and the youth/women quota in the structure. - President: The leadership of ERTF is implemented by the President, elected by the Executive Committee. The secretary and the treasurer are elected by the President. |
