Mission statement:
Ourganization works closely with farmers and fishimen through the domestic part our contry where life in not easy. We aught reduce pressure exerted on virgin forest due to agricultural activities thanks to making people aware of this problem, communication and informing forestry local communities about the forestry code. We have to put in place an organization in order to make sure that natural resources are correctly managed. Secondly, we ought to fertilize the damaged soils thanks to planting trees of cover "ACACIAS" to make possible the fixation of nitrogene. so, they will notice a large involvement of the community after all these steps. Once, the new organization of natural resources management put in place and the trees of cover grown, the forest close to communities will be fertlized and the pressure exerted on several virgin forest will be reduced. The trees of culture planted along various places will contribute to the improvement of climate change and protection of forest. The efficient forestry resource management depends on plants biology, agroforestry and animals eaten. the management of this is based on the use of the renewable biotic resources flow. As those resources depend on temporary natural situation and they don't enable to get exponential productions, community way without any person hoards the surplus and therefore without a large material inequality. The solution is related to multiple function of the forest, to the social solution and institutional conviniently adaptated. ADAPEL is a non governmental organization whose activities are concentrated in northen Democratic Republic of Congo, precisely in the Province of Equator, Bongandanga Territory, Boso Djanoa Sector, exactly in Likende grouping containing eleven villages. The grouping of Likende is situated at more than 1.200 Km from Kinshasa with more 50.000 inhabitants living in being rich in natural resources it contains enormous natural potentialities, unfortunately are not correctly managed so that the local community live in precariousness, a desastrous situation matket by lack of basic facilities and goods of first nacessity. One of the key drivers of deforestation in the Congo Basin can be found in traditional forms of land use, notably slash-and-burn farming as a form of shifting cultivation. Due to population increases this practises has become unsustainable: fallow periods become shorter with the result that soils get depleted faster, and crop yields decline dramatically after only a few years. this dynamic pushes farmers to slash for new land at a higher rate than was traditionally the case. Continued deforestation and forest fragmentation, biodiversity loss, carbon emission, and rural poverty and food insecurity are the result. ADAPEL propose an intregrated concept capable of turning this unsustainaible land use cycle into a more productive and sustainable one by adding BIOCHAR to farm soils.
